Note
Something I've been working on for a few months...
@jcs Powerbook of Theseus?
And now for my next trick...
A small board sits between the ADB trackball (originally made by Logitech btw) and the logic board which has a USB port that currently houses a Logitech wireless receiver (but could support any USB mouse). It translates USB mouse HID input to ADB mouse packets.
For the mouse scroll wheel, it sends ADB keyboard Page Up and Page Down keys.
@jcs Awesome! And I want to do the same display trick on the 145 but I canโt find a panel that fits the frame. Thereโs one with the right resolution (twice the original on both x and y) but just a few millimetres too big. Which panel did you use?
@arroz@mastodon.social Innolux EJ090NA-01B
@jcs Do the brightness contrast dials work?
@Random_Seed@bitbang.social Unfortunately not in this version, the brightness value is just a hard-coded value in the FPGA. In a future version my board could have a connector that mates with the ribbon cable from the dial PCB to take those signals as inputs to adjust it on the fly.
@jcs Super tricky, but looks great so far.
@jcs Oh wow. If that's what I think it is, that's truly incredible work. ๐คฏ
@jcs Emulator for playing games of yore?
@jcs Screen replacement? ๐ค
