never seen that on stock Android ...
@jcs Yup. It's Samsung's "Experience" aka TouchWiz who adds this notification, not Android.
That's definitely some weird Samsung BS.
@jcs Mine (Samsung) does that, too. They must have decided that this was easier than finding their memory leaks.
Can’t wait for BSD phone.
@jcs iOS is just Darwin BSD with a pretty interface
@romanzolotarev @jcs with no access to the shell.
@LabratDre @jcs That's okay, I don't need shell on my phone, really.
@antranigv @LabratDre @jcs I wish my phone would stop telling me I have an untrusted CA certificate. I created it. I imported it. I trust it. #stfu already.
@antranigv @LabratDre @jcs Android?
@BasementTrix @LabratDre @jcs actually, any major mobile OS :d
@BasementTrix @LabratDre @jcs Hmm, I've never seen anything like this on iOS.
@bnastic Never seen that on my (non dev) s8. And can't remember the last time I powered it down.
@bnastic My phone has been on for 100 days
@bnastic 🤷♂️ It's a brand new S8 purchased a month ago. Tapping on the notification opened some Samsung app that wanted me to create an account so I backed out of it (a couple weeks ago). The same notification appeared today.
Nokias are an affordable version of the pixel e.g. with monthly security updates and stock android.
@romanzolotarev Memory leak fixed, issue closed, comments restricted. 😎
Part of the Samsung suite of apps. I'd say it is dumb, but so many phone apps are poorly written that I find it is a pretty decent idea.
