it came that way. i don't know if openbsd's fdisk just shows 'thinkpad recovery' for what is a standard mbr partition id or if other vendors just standardized on using ibm's.
i thought maybe it is used for hibernation like old thinkpads that needed tphdisk, so i kept it at the end of the disk.

wireless does not yet work but it is an atheros card so it might not be as bad to get working as the broadcom in the macbook air.
usb ethernet adapter works with my patch sent to tech@ the other day.
the one usb 2 port works fine, but the usb 3 port doesn't work yet, even for usb 2 devices. i haven't looked into it yet.
video works in vesa at the native 1366x768, which was surprising. the sandybridge intel xorg driver that i worked with oga@ on for the thinkpad x220 will probably work on it, but i haven't tried yet.
sound gets detected but i haven't played anything through it.
it suspends but doesn't resume, most likely just because of the sandy bridge video (like the x220).
currently panics on boot due to a problem with acpivout, which someone is looking into. disabling acpivout lets it boot.

oh and the lamp is from ikea. it looks brighter than it is because it was kind of dark in the apartment so i had to turn the exposure up a bit on the camera.
