water pump - day 6  (set of 5 photos)

regis stopped by and made short work of getting the stripped 12-point bolts out. he made some more room by removing the belt tensioner, windshield wiper fluid tank, and bracket for the motor mount, then hammered his (apparently much higher quality) 6mm 12-point socket into the bolts and they came right out.

now i just need a new serp belt and 3 new bolts and i can install the new pump and get back to driving my car.
