a few "brick" crosswalks were roped off on north avenue and while walking past one, i realized that they're just cutting lines in the blacktop and painting it brown to look like bricks.
what is the point of this, chicago?

Well, it does serve to mark the crosswalk, but I would think zebra stripes would be more effective. Maybe Disney was the contractor?
