ok, nobody replied to my inquiry about going to opencon in december, but i just booked the flights and hotel reservations so dave and i will be there representing the superblock ninja strike team.

we are flying out of chicago on thursday, 30 november, connecting through atlanta and arriving in venice, italy on friday, 1 december, then leaving on monday, 4 december in the morning, connecting through milan, italy and arriving back in chicago in the afternoon. 10,176 miles and 26 hours of flying round trip. i wonder if my x40 battery will last 26 hours...

a man is involved in life, leaves his impress on it, and outside of that there is nothing. to be sure, this may seem a harsh thought to someone whose life hasn't been a success. but, on the other hand, it prompts people to understand that reality alone is what counts, that dreams, expectations, and hopes warrant no more than to define a man as a disappointed dream, as miscarried hopes, as vain expectations.
