hello cyber pals!

i redesigned jcs.org a bit with a fixed sidebar (which required quite a bit of hackery to work in ie) and some other minor things. dave said my old one looked like a high schooler's html homework, so hopefully this one looks a little better.

a large part of the redesign was on my media script to give it flickr-style square thumbnails as well as image captions drawn directly on the thumbnails to save screen space. i actually had the semi-transparent black bar with captions working in pure css but then i had to use <div>'s and couldn't accurately do the fluid layout (no tables!) that i have now that allows for more thumbnails per row in larger browsers.
