ok maybe i just have too many extensions and other os hacks but am i the only one constantly experiencing these problems in firefox 1.5 on mac?
- window/tab titles sometimes aren't in sync with the current page. it's usually the title from the previous page and a reload of the page (even though it's completely loaded with the throbber stopped and stop button disabled) will usually clear it up. the address bar also suffers from this sometimes and will not show me the current url of the page that i'm on. again, a page reload "syncs" everything.
- tab throbber won't stop on some pages, even though the page is loaded and the stop button is no longer enabled. google reproduces it quite regularly. as i'm typing this i have a google search open in another tab and the throbber is still circling around, taunting me. however, when going to that tab, its throbber is still going but the main window's throbber is stopped.
- back/forward buttons, "go" menu items, and command+(left|right) sometimes get disabled on certain tabs, even though there is history for that tab (visible from the "go" menu). may be related to the problem above.
- mouse behavior for bookmark bar menus sometimes gets screwed up. usually i can click and hold on a bookmark menu and move down to the bookmark i want from that menu, let go of the mouse, and it goes to that item. you know, like every single other menu on the computer does. but sometimes it gets confused and when i let go of the mouse over a bookmark, it doesn't do anything and the menu stays out. i have to click on the boomark again to make it go.
i don't remember having these problems in any of the 1.5 betas and i'm not about to wade through the hundreds of bugs in the mozilla bugzilla (which has such a clumsy interface; don't make it hard for users to efficiently report bugs!) to see if these are known/reported/fixed/whatever. so i'll just complain about it here and maybe someone will make everything all better. maybe they should add a "report broken firefox" item to the help menu under "report broken web site."
for the record it's firefox 1.5 final on mac os x 10.4.3 with dom inspector, talkback, adblock plus, clipboard observer, web developer, greasemonkey, growl download notification, screen grab!, switchproxy, and del.icio.us plugins.
