37 signals asks whether they've "jumped the shark" and while i wouldn't classify it as "jumping the shark", signal-vs-noise definitely has much more noise than signal these days. they used to post insightful musings about design and development, but now it's just whining about irrelevant problems, drilling "less is more" and "getting real" into our heads (ok, we get it already!), and subjecting long-time readers to spam and other nonsense.

anyway, in the post's comments, someone says whiteboard wasn't that great. 37 signals employee jason fried (JF) responds with:

JF 15 Nov 05
Over 50,000 Writeboards in just a few weeks cant be wrong!

to which the original poster replies:

Don Wilson 15 Nov 05
Over 20 million AOL subscribers cant be wrong -- can they? [...]

i can't stop laughing.
