i made a formal release of bier.
it is nice to see that linux users are so appreciative of vendors actually taking the time and money to develop linux kernel drivers for their hardware. we can't even get vendors to allow redistribution of their closed-source firmware so we can write drivers for them, and here is a vendor that actually wrote their own driver for the linux kernel and users are boycotting them because of it.

only code."
i'm sure all the other hardware vendors refusing to support open source operating systems are just rushing to dedicate their resources to it now... yay gpl.
